Golden Art Therapy & Counseling is looking for a passionate and dedicated part-time art therapist to join the practice.

We are passionate about the transformative power of art therapy and are seeking a skilled and compassionate Art Therapist to join our team as a contractor on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in trauma-informed care and be comfortable working with clients of all ages and backgrounds. This is a part-time contractor position with flexible hours, ideal for someone who values autonomy and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

About The Role

  • Key Responsibilities

    Provide individual art therapy and/or talk therapy/counseling services to clients with a variety of mental health needs.

    Provide group art therapy services.

    Maintain appropriate, accurate and timely documentation of client sessions and progress.

    Participate in case consultations and team meetings as needed.

    Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in art therapy and mental health counseling.

    Must be available to see clients at least one day in person on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays.

  • Qualifications

    Master’s degree in Art Therapy or a related field.

    Registered Art Therapist (ATR) or Board-Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC)

    Must have active license in VA. (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, will consider residents).

    Ideal candidates have 2 years of experience in providing art therapy services, preferably in a clinical setting.

    Value a trauma-informed, creative and holistic approach.

    Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.

    Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload
